Legends and Inspirations at Therma Village
1. The Legend of "The Peeing Boy and the Mineral Spring" .
On the grounds of Therma Village stands one of our most beloved symbols – the fountain of The Peeing Boy, inspired by an old legend. It tells the story of a boy named Theodor, a child with a pure heart, who was the first to discover the magical mineral spring that brings health, purity, and strength. Today, the fountain is a symbol of freedom, care for others, and the bond with nature. Our guests believe that if they touch the water with a sincere wish – it will come true. Visit the fountain during your walk through the complex and feel the magic of Therma Village! Here is the story of The Peeing Boy in Therma Village: Long ago, when the land where Therma Village now stands was covered with dense forests and bubbling thermal springs, there lived a small community of healers. People from all corners of the world came to heal in the miraculous waters, and the local healers knew the secrets of nature and could cure with herbs. Among them grew a curious boy named Theodor, the son of the chief healer. He loved exploring the springs, listening to ancient tales, and believed that water is a gift from nature that should belong to everyone. One day, a cruel and greedy ruler from a nearby village suffering from drought arrived. He decided to take all the water from Therma Village to fill his wells and sell the life-giving liquid for gold. To carry out his wicked plan, he hired warriors to destroy the springs and divert the water to his village. The people begged him to leave at least some of the water, but he only laughed: — "Water belongs to the strong! The weak can die of thirst!" As the warriors destroyed the stone pools, the water began to vanish. The desperate villagers didn’t know how to save their sacred spring. Then young Theodor found an ancient scroll which said: "If a person with a pure heart sincerely asks the spring to return, the water will live again." He climbed to the highest rock and shouted: — “Let the water flow freely again for all who need it!” But at that very moment, the warriors captured him, tied his hands, and held him prisoner, afraid that he might ruin their plan. They placed him right next to the dried-up spring so he could watch the last drops disappear. But Theodor really had to go to the toilet. He held it in, but the urge became unbearable. With each moment, strength grew inside him until he suddenly broke free from the ropes. Without hesitation, he began to pee into the dried-up spring – and then a miracle happened! The moment the first drops touched the earth, a powerful jet of crystal-clear mineral water burst from the stone. The mighty stream washed away the warriors, and the greedy ruler fled, blinded by the radiant light. From that day on, he never again dared to steal the water of other lands. Legend says that Theodor’s spirit remained in the springs of Therma Village, taking the form of a playful boy who symbolizes freedom, healing, and a kind heart. They say that if you touch the water of The Peeing Boy fountain, it will purify your soul, grant you health, and fulfill your most heartfelt wish – but only if it is as pure and sincere as Theodor’s heart.
